Imago Facilitator Training:

Modules 1 – 4

The Imago facilitator training program prepares you for Certification as an Imago Professional Facilitator™ Imago Communication Facilitator™ or an Imago Relationship Facilitator™ and supports coaches, managers, teachers, consultants and leaders in deepening their facilitation skills with individuals, groups, and organizations within a Relational Paradigm.

The facilitation training program consists of four modules, four days or 32 course hours each*. The modules are scheduled with several months in between to enable trainees to practice facilitating clients and prepare recordings of practice sessions. See Level 2 for the additional steps required for certification.

*Course structure and how the hours are delivered may vary slightly according to instructor, country and the delivery method (online or in person).

 What are the requirements to register for this training?

  • The trainee will work with individuals, leaders, groups and organizations in a professional setting and are required to be clear if they are or are not, qualified and allowed by law to do therapy or clinical work depending on the state, province, or country of their residence.

     

  • Requirements and documents you need for the application:

    • Curriculum vitae and a recent portrait or passport photo (digital). 

    • A short description of your motivation for the training (1 page) 

    • Proof of completed vocational education or graduate study. 

    • Proof of titles (if available) 

    • Proof of a valid professional license from the state in which the Imago Professional Facilitator resides and/or provides and performs most of their facilitator work within the scope of that professional license. Reference is the international ISCO classification. [(International Standard Classification of Occupations (ISCO)] When offering online training, the facilitator’s place of residence applies.

    • A personal interview with the trainer about previous experience, motivation, and later application of the training contents. 

    • Proof of 100 hours of completed self-experience (therapy, self-awareness, seminars, etc. Due to the very different possibilities/cultures/countries in this area, the IPF trainer decides in the personal interview which certificates are accepted for the 100 hours.) 

    • Malpractice insurance, if required by your country. 

    • Confirmation of participation in an Imago Couples Workshop “Getting the love you want” or Imago Singles Workshop “Keeping the love you find” with a certified Imago Workshop presenter within the last 3 years.

Before the trainee may represent themselves as a Certified Imago FacilitatorTM Participant will need to successfully complete all training requirements set forth by IITI including all participation in all sixteen days (or the equivalent time) of training, recordings of your facilitation, all small group sessions for feedback on your facilitation, and the approval of a final project that demonstrates mastery of Imago Facilitation skills.

  • Participant may professionally facilitate individuals, dyads, groups, and organizations in any desirable professional format such as coaching, consultation, or education.
  • Participant may produce or reproduce relevant materials from Imago Relationship Theory and Educational materials provided during training for the purposes of working directly with clients.

  • Participant may present at conferences and various meetings up to and no more than two hours in length on Imago theory and practice and may demonstrate educational exercises such as public demonstrations of the methods or dialogues that they have learned in facilitator training. These include, for example, Communologue,TM or Imago DialogueTM in a facilitator-to-client context, but shall omit any public demonstrations that could be construed as therapy, the practice of “experiential/regressive” processes and honor copyright laws regarding reproductions of any materials. Reproduction of the materials or any rendition thereof, for public presentations or distributions to audiences outside of direct clients is not permitted without prior written permission from IITI.
